The 9th health workers games came to a close.
Divided into two groups, the players competed in such events as basketball (male), volleyball, table tennis, tug of war and Taekwon-Do.
The Academy of Medical Science and the General Dental Hospital under the Ministry of Public Health came first, Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences Hospital and Namsan Hospital second and Korea General Red Cross Hospital and Okryu Children’s Hospital third in the group rankings.
A closing ceremony was held at the Basketball Gymnasium on Chongchun Street in Pyongyang on September 23.
It was attended by Ri Chung Gil, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials of public health and other relevant sectors, players and employees of central-level hospitals and the Academy of Medical Science.
Team total rankings and standings according to events and cheering were announced and rotating trophies and cups were awarded to winning units along with relevant prizes.
