Participants in the European Internet seminar, which was held in celebration of the 74th anniversary of the DPRK under the sponsorship of the UK Korean Friendship Association, sent a congratulatory message to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on September 9.

The message said the founding of the DPRK by President Kim Il Sung on September 9 1948 was a great event that built a state to be prosperous with independence in politics, self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in defence, noting that as the DPRK was founded, the Korean people could build a socialist society and it is a great and priceless exploit of him that gave a great encouragement to the Koreans and other peoples all over the world.

The current Internet seminar was an important occasion for introducing and publicizing the glorious history and reality of the DPRK, it said, adding it planned to conduct more vigorous activities for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people next year, a significant year marking the 75th anniversary of the DPRK and the 70th anniversary of victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

It wished the DPRK leader greater success in his responsible work for the development and prosperity of the country and good health.

The Internet seminar took place between September 3 and 11 on the theme of “74 years of progress and prosperity achieved under the banner of the Juche idea”.

Posted on the seminar website were photographs showing the flower baskets sent by the participants in the seminar to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and discussion papers under the titles of “People’s Korea prospering under the banner of the Juche idea”, “74 years of independence and progress”, “A country of peace and freedom”, “The DPRK, an invincible country, will advance invariably along the road of socialism” and others.

Also seen there were congratulatory letters from the organizing committee for the international festival in praise of the great persons of Mt Paektu, the Asia-Pacific regional committee for supporting peaceful reunification of Korea, the Arab regional committee for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people, the Latin-American and Caribbean regional committee for supporting Korea’s reunification and organizations in the DPRK and other countries.

The seminar was attended by personages of organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and members of friendship associations with the DPRK in European countries including Greece, Germany, Bulgaria, Belarus, Belgium, Sweden, the UK, Austria, Albania, Italy, Spain, Finland and Serbia and those in Nepal and Pakistan.

A resolution was published at the seminar, which expressed full support and approval for the policy speech made by Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and the adoption of the law on the policy on the state nuclear forces at the Seventh Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK.

There was a photo exhibition showing the reality of socialist Korea advancing under the banner of the Juche idea and the beautiful scenery of Pyongyang on the sidelines of the seminar.
