The Korea Koryo medicine technology company established in June Juche 81 (1992) is a scientific research institution which solves technological problems arising in the production of Koryo medicines.
The company plans and pushes ahead with the work to renovate all Koryo medicine production units across the country, improve Koryo medicine forms, develop new Koryo medicines and establish standard methods of cultivating medicinal herbs.
It plays a leading role in studying, disseminating and introducing Koryo medicine production technology and makes a positive contribution to renovating many Koryo medicine production units.
In the past, it has carried out the projects for putting production lines on the international standard at hundreds of Koryo medicine factories, including those in Kanggye and Samjiyon cities, and designed and manufactured up-to-date facilities as suited to actual conditions of each unit and introduced them.
It applied capsule into Koryo medicines to turn them into tablets and succeeded in making extracts of Koryo medicines.
It established a pilot plant to test the achievements made in studying Koryo medicines, and spreads and introduces the confirmed technologies.
It makes researches into developing new products.
Aronia melanocarpa fruit extract, milk thistle dragees against hepatitis and many other Koryo medicines developed by the company received the state quality certifications and standards.
It steadily supplements and reinforces its scientific research force, including researchers and designers, and constantly enhances their qualifications, and quickly solves sci-tech problems by establishing large database related to the production of Koryo medicines.
The company publishes “Korea Koryo Medicine Technology Bulletin”.
