Members of the three-revolution teams dispatched to production sites including factories and enterprises after graduating from universities are contributing to the development of those units by briskly conducting the technical innovation movement.
The same is the case with those at the Ryuwon Footwear Factory.
The members of the team, who were sent to the factory after graduating from technical colleges, always find the core of technical innovation in production sites.
One day, Han Kyong Jin, chief of the team, could not take off his eyes for a long time from the looks of employees who separated shoetrees from completed shoes in a production line before carrying them to the first production process.
There was only one process where employees do physical labour in the automated production process.
He racked his brains to find out the way to automate the process.
“The determination of our team leader, who proposed making an automatic guided vehicle that can carry shoetrees, won the positive support of our team members,” said Ri Myong Il, member of the team.
Since then, the speculation and activities of the members were directed to completing the automatic guide vehicle.
Their goal was to make a guide vehicle which takes direction automatically without any fixed trajectory and carries and unloads things to a correct position.
Many technical problems arose, but they willingly accepted them as their “homework” and pooled their strength and wisdom.
“The joy of having completed a product by dint of creative wisdom was beyond imagination. But the pain of failure was so big,” said Han Kyong Jin.
The vehicle failed to move in the set direction as it changed its course.
But the team members made strenuous efforts. Finally, they succeeded in developing the automatic guide vehicle which correctly carries shoetrees to fixed position.
The vehicle, which was introduced into practice, was welcomed by workers.
“Employees respect and show affection for members of the three-revolution team who solve technical problems arising in reality and give much help to the work of improving technical knowledge and skills,” said manageress Kim Yun Sil.
