Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of different sectors.
Looking round the single-story, low-story and terraced houses under construction at the Jisin Vegetable Farm in Huichon City, he said the officials and builders should more strictly keep the demand of design and construction and supply materials in time to build all the houses wonderfully.
At the Huichon Finishing Building Materials Factory he encouraged the technicians and workers who are producing different kinds of finishing building materials with locally available raw materials by their own efforts and said the factory should play a big role in the rural housing construction by speeding up the development of new products.
Going round the Huichon Precision Machine Factory, he stressed the need to produce and supply a lot of good-quality accessories by improving the technical knowledge and skills of its employees.
At the Phyongwon Tideland Reclamation Site Kim Tok Hun underscored the need to actively introduce rational construction methods and new sci-tech successes.
At the National Light Industrial Goods Exhibition House he underlined the need to make all the consumer goods those favoured by people and steadily increase the proportion of home production of raw and other materials.
The consultative meetings held on the spot discussed relevant measures.
