People Reflected on the Red Flag of the Party

The flag of the Workers' Party of Korea is fluttering in the sky of October.

The red flag with the Party emblem represents the immortal exploits performed by the great leader Kim Il Sung for the party building.

As the Party emblem with a hammer, a sickle and a writing brush shows, the WPK is the Party of the working people including workers.

Kim Il Sung built the WPK into a mass Party of the working people and ensured that the Party flag and emblem were designed to reflect it well.

Lecturer Kim Yun Mi at the Korean Revolution Museum says:

"The great leader Kim Il Sung guided the work to decide on the Party emblem in person, saying it should be distinctive to clearly show the unique character of the WPK.

He also said in detail: Our Party emblem should represent a worker, a farmer and an intellectual. Then, it can show symbolically that the WPK is a unified Party of the working people.

In the Party emblem the worker should be depicted as a hammer and the farmer as a sickle. Of course, the intellectual may be depicted as a pen. But it will be better to draw a writing brush in our style."

Thanks to the energetic and meticulous guidance of Kim Il Sung, the emblem clearly showing the character and noble mission of the WPK could be completed and drawn on the red flag of the revolution.

The Party emblem on the red flag reflected the Korean people.

Since it had the red flag with a hammer, a sickle and a writing brush, the WPK has never got separated from the people but advanced the revolution, always regarding them as the God.
