The border city of Sinuiju is concentrating all efforts on further cementing anti-epidemic barriers while sharpening a high degree of vigilance.

Party and government organs and the emergency anti-epidemic sector in the city intensify ideological and publicity campaigns so that officials and working people would exercise caution against slackness and absence of mind until the malignant infectious disease is completely removed from the world and voluntarily and strictly observe the anti-epidemic disciplines and order.

While conducting motivational offensive using mobile amplifiers and loud-speaker vans at factories and enterprises, streets and villages, practical measures are being taken to raise the sense of responsibility and crisis of the masses.

All units pay attention to ensuring working and living conditions of members in charge of blockade and isolation duties, strictly increasing the quality of antiseptic solution and making increasingly exact demands on sterilization and mask wearing.

They strive to fully equip themselves with disinfectant, sterilizing tools and equipment, gas cape and all other anti-epidemic materials needed for taking anti-epidemic measures in areas prone to inundation by flood and tidal wave caused by typhoons and piled rubbish.

With consciousness that absence of mind and slackness are a taboo in the anti-epidemic effort, different units in the city take thoroughgoing steps for the prevention of inflow and spread of the malignant virus by typhoons, floods and tidal waves as they sterilize places and things carefully.

Various forms and ways are adopted to enhance the role of household doctors and other public health workers and get them to substantially carry on disease screening and medical check-up and hygienic information for residents.

The city has intensified the anti-epidemic monitoring of rivers and forests and strictly dealt with dead birds and wild animals whose cause of death is unidentified. And it pays special attention to making sure that drinking water quality is tested on a regular basis and working people and residents drink boiled water in workplace and families.
