Monument to revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung unveiled in China A monument to the revolutionary activities of the great leader Kim Il Sung was set up at the Nanjiao Farm in Beijing of China.
It has Korean and Chinese letters saying that the Chinese white pine planted by President Kim Il Sung of Korea together with Marshal Ye Jianying on April 20, 1975 symbolizes the eternal friendship of the peoples of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Its unveiling ceremony was held on the spot on September 28.
Present there were officials of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, officials concerned, the DPRK ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to China and staff members of his embassy.
Speeches were made by Ambassador Ri Ryong Nam, Chairman of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Lin Songtian and others.
The monument was unveiled and the participants watered the tree symbolic of friendship before having a picture taken against it.
