Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a congratulatory message to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, on Friday.
Extending his heartfelt, warm congratulations to Putin on his 70th birthday, Kim Jong Un said in the message:
You have made signal achievements in attaining the grand strategic target for building a powerful Russia through your energetic activities, assuming the heavy responsibility as head of state for many years. So, you are enjoying high respects and support from the broad masses of people.
Today, Russia is reliably defending the dignity of the state and its fundamental interests from the challenges and threats by the US and its vassal forces. Such reality is unthinkable without your distinguished leadership and strong will.
I am rejoiced over the fact that the mutual support and cooperation between the DPRK and Russia have been strengthened as never before in the struggle to develop the traditional bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation onto a higher stage under the agreement made at our first meeting in Vladivostok in 2019 and to defend regional peace and stability and realize international justice.
Hoping that our personal ties will play a bigger role in steadily consolidating and developing the DPRK-Russia friendship, verified and further cemented in the tempest of history, in keeping with the demand of the times and the aspiration of the peoples of the two countries, I wish you happiness in good health and great success in your responsible work for the prosperity of Russia.
