It clarifies the man-centered philosophical principle, people-centered socio-historical principles, revolutionary theories and the guiding principles of the party and state activities.The Juche idea stands for the view that man’s essential qualities are the pursuit of independence, creativity and consciousness, that man can change the world and shape his own destiny and that the masses of the people are the driving force of the revolution, its independent subject. The leader’s task is to serve the people, mobilize them and lead them to victory. The solid unity between the people and the leader is a prerequisite for victory.Comrade Kim Jong Il systematized the Juche idea in a coherent way in his dissertation On the Juche Idea and developed it in several works. He summed up the guiding principles of the Juche idea as an independent stand (Juche in ideology, independence in politics, self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in defence), creative method (method of depending on the masses of the people, methods suitable to the actual situation) and the main stress on ideology (giving priority to ideological remoulding, political work).The Juche idea is the guiding ideology of the Workers’ Party of Korea, which has been steadily deepened and developed to meet the demands of the times and the developing revolution.General Secretary Kim Jong Un has emphasized that the core of the Juche idea is the ideas of The people are God and the people-first principle.The Workers’ Party of Korea has consistently implemented the principles of Juche in party building and party activities.Modelling the whole society on the Juche idea is the Party’s highest program.The spirit of unconditionally serving the people, which is deeply rooted in the Party, is a unique feature of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the whole of Korean society.
