They are all equal members of the international community that have independent and equal rights.The independent world is the one where all countries and nations exercise full sovereignty in the international arena based on equality and mutual respect as equal members of the international community.The other of the important contents in the theoretical foundation for global independence clarified by Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is that independence is the basis of fair international relations.Fair international relations can be established, maintained and developed only when all countries and nations hold independence.Those who aspire after independence keenly experienced through the foreign relations practice that the international relations based on independence can only guarantee their independent development, and to its end, they have made persistent efforts to establish the principles and rules of international law.The important content in the theoretical foundation for global independence clarified by Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is that global independence is realized through independence of each country and nation.To realize independence of country and nation means that all countries and nations do not submit to any big powers or dominationist forces but exercise complete independence in external relations.Realizing independence of country and nation arises as a primary matter in realizing global independence.Global independence is not realized at one time. It covers a certain law-governed stage. In other words, regional independence is advanced and global independence further accelerated when all countries and nations become independent.Independence of country and nation is not realized by itself but realized only through the struggle of its members.Under the condition that imperialist and dominationist forces are now ruthlessly trampling down small countries with high-handedness and tyranny, each country and nation must regard independence as their life and soul and dynamically wage the struggle to frustrate aggression and intervention, high-handedness and tyranny of imperialism and dominationism and exercise full-fledged independence in the international arena by firmly uniting with each other.Independence of country and nation is realized through the processes of maintaining the principle of independence in politics and safeguarding peace and security of the country by dint of self-reliant defence while strengthening the independent character and might of the national economy.To make regions independent means that all the regions including Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America advance along the road of independence without being subordinated to any big powers or dominationist forces.The regional independence is made lawfully by the joint efforts and struggle of all the people, progressive political parties and organizations in the region aspiring to independence and justice.The masters of the regional independence are all the people in the region and the progressive political parties and organizations representing the will of their people.Imperialists’ and dominationists’ machinations seriously threatening the regional peace and security are destroyed through the struggle of people and progressive political parties and organizations in the region.Comrade Kim Il Sung, eternal President of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, devoted his whole life to accomplishing the anti-imperialist cause for independence of mankind.By brilliantly applying Juche idea, which he had authored, to the national liberation struggle, he put forward the guidelines for the national liberation movement that the oppressed peoples of the world could achieve their genuine freedom and independence by their own efforts and struggle.In June 1930 he set forth the line of an organized armed struggle by one’s own revolutionary armed forces and the relevant strategic and tactical issues.He created a brilliant example in the history of national liberation struggles by giving a scientific and theoretical explanation to the problems of the national liberation revolutions in colonies for the first time in history and by leading the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to victory.The cultural conference held in Havana, Cuba, in 1968 adopted a document, titled “Anti-Japanese Armed Struggle of the Korean People Launched and Waged under the Direct Leadership of President Kim Il Sung”, and decided to take it as the strategy and tactics of the anti-imperialist struggle for national liberation of the peoples of Asia, Africa and Latin America.The document reads in part, “The victory of the anti-Japanese armed struggle was achieved thanks to President Kim Il Sung, an ever-victorious brilliant commander, who put forward political programme and scientific methods to realize it and to his outstanding strategic and tactical leadership.”President Kim Il Sung actively supported the national liberation struggles of the oppressed peoples of the world, and encouraged them to achieve victory.Robert G. Mugabe, who visited the DPRK in April 1980, immediately after the people of Zimbabwe, who had groaned under the oppression and exploitation of the colonialists for over one century, at last achieved independence through a protracted armed struggle, said to President Kim Il Sung: As our request and righteous cause coincided with the righteous cause of the Korean people and the Workers’ Party of Korea, we asked you a considerable amount of assistance, and you ratified it and offered assistance to us as you promised; indeed you have become our closest friend and inseparable ally.President Kim Il Sung gave encouragement and confidence to the progressive peoples struggling for independence and made an outstanding contribution to the cause of independence of mankind.In his speech, titled For A Free and Peaceful New World delivered at the opening ceremony of the 85th Conference of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Pyongyang in April 1991, President Kim Il Sung emphasized that all the countries and nations, as equal members of the international society, should maintain independence, oppose power politics and vigorously wage a world-wide joint struggle to prevent aggression and war.When he met Francois Mitterrand, the leader of the Socialist Party of France, on the latter’s visit to the DPRK in February 1981 President Kim Il Sung said to him that the European countries, in order to prevent a new world war, should not join any bloc, but make their countries independent and neutral and help the developing countries so that they could firmly maintain independence, realize peace and build independent sovereign states.Mitterrand told President Kim Il Sung that he had never heard from anybody such valuable remarks that clearly analyzed and estimated many problems.Mitterrand was elected as president of France in May that year; at the G7 summit he said that President Kim Il Sung was an outstanding leader of the present era.In conclusion, I called upon the progressive and revolutionary people of the world that the contribution of Great President Kim Il Sung to the anti-imperialist cause for independence of mankind is being told with undiminished admiration.I strongly believe if they really hold Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, they will be victorious against capitalism, imperialism and all sorts of exploitation and oppression.
