The North Phyongan Provincial Power Transmission and Supply Station is taking timely measures for making effective use of produced electricity by concentrating efforts on readjusting and reinforcing the electric power system.
The Industry Technology Institute has built a database for establishing the power geographic information system which can minimize the loss of electricity and ensuring the management of transmission lines and the stability of the system operation more smoothly. It has also analyzed the power transmission and distribution network of several units and conducted readjustment in an optimized way. In this course, it has tapped over 1,000 kw of electric power reserve, renovated the reactive power compensation equipment and decreased the loss of power in transmission by far by improving the power-factor.
The power equipment repair workshop has repaired tens of poles and main transformers by tapping internal reserves and potentialities, thus contributing to finishing the power projects at the major construction objects in the province.
The electric-light pole workshop is bringing about innovation in the production of concrete electric-light poles of different sizes.
