Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un received a letter of loyal pledge from scientists, technicians, workers and officials in the missile field of the Academy of Defence Science.

In the letter, they extended the warmest congratulations and the deep gratitude to Kim Jong Un who brought a great historic victory in the final test-fire for the development of new-type ICBM Hwasongpho-17 to strikingly demonstrate the mightiness of our country all over the world once again.

Five years ago, the respected General Secretary led the development of Hwasongpho-15 type weapon system to a great victory and let the armed forces of the country be equipped with the inter-continental ballistic missiles, thus realizing the great historic cause of completing the state nuclear force, the letter said, and continued:

Immediately after that you clarified the seed and direction of developing Hwasongpho-17 and gave detailed accounts of a range of issues including the outer shape of missile, selection of motor, self-propelling of launching vehicle, preparation of underground launching pad and coating of missile.

Always busy as you were with all affairs of the Party and the state, you gave careful guidance over the preparations for the final test-fire of Hwasongpho-17 every day and on the launching day, came to the field in person together with your most beloved daughter. It meant the greatest privilege and confidence in victory given to us and, as a result, we could make perfect victory in the final test-fire of Hwasongpho-17, the world's most powerful weapon.

Hwasongpho-17 is a giant epitome of the untiring journey to the forefront covered by you, the respected General Secretary, and a massive product of your absolute trust in the soldiers. It is therefore, Hwasongpho of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the absolute weaponry of Comrade Kim Jong Un both in name and reality.

In the letter they vowed to bring about successive victories in developing new ultra-modern military hardware as clarified by our Party in the same high spirit with which they developed the weaponry enough to put the whole world in their range and thus defend the absolute prestige of the General Secretary and our Party in every way and perfectly materialize the strategic plan of the Party Central Committee.

They stressed they would make sure strategic and tactical missiles permeated with the total dedication of the General Secretary display its full power so as to further consolidate the arsenal of the Paektusan revolutionary industry in quality and quantity. -0-
