Youth and students from across the country made a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu.
They arrived in Samjiyon City of Ryanggang Province which has been wonderfully built into a centre of education in revolutionary traditions.
Before their departure, they held a meeting at the education yard before the bronze statue of the great leader Kim Jong Il in Samjiyon City on December 1.
Present there were Kang Sin Chang, Secretary of the Ryanggang Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, youth league officials and marchers.
The participants first laid a floral basket and bouquets before the bronze statue of Kim Jong Il and paid homage to him.
Pak Myong Jin, Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a report, which was followed by speeches.
Then, the marchers visited the Rimyongsu Revolutionary Site and the Chongbong and Konchang Bivouacs, recalling what an arduous and difficult road of struggle the first generation of the Korean revolution had covered despite the manifold hardships and trials.
