The coal industry sector has worked out scientific plans to increase the production and is implementing them in hearty response to the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The Ministry of Coal Industry took detailed practical measures to boost the production by giving definite precedence to prospecting and tunnelling and raising the rate of mechanization in the pit work and accelerate the capacity expansion of coal mines.
The Kaechon Area Coal-Mining Complex took steps for all the coal mines to increase coal reserves on the basis of heading excavation and preliminary tunnellings by actively conducting the high-speed tunnelling movement and ensure the premeditated development of production by raising the proportion of mechanized coal mining.
Thanks to the high enthusiasm of colliers, the complex has so far produced one thousand and hundreds of tons of coal more than planned since the beginning of the year.
Other coalfields across the country are also boosting the production while directing efforts to promoting the development of new coal mines and pits and increasing the transport capacity.
