Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, understood on the spot the farming in North and South Hwanghae Provinces.
At the Township, Chimchon and Sunchon Farms in Hwangju County, he touched on ways to carry out this year's plan for grain production.
Looking round wheat fields of different farms including the Wolchon Farm in Phyongsan County, he stressed the need to boost the productivity by perfecting the irrigation and drainage systems and manuring and cultivating the crops well.
At the Honghyon Farm in Paechon County and the Jayang Farm and the Farm Machine Station in Yonan County he underscored the need to further perfect the food production cycle of the agricultural production and stockbreeding and actively apply the organic farming method including the planting of green manure crops in a planned way and thus raise the fertility of soil and increase the operational rate of farm machines.
Consultative meetings were held on the spot.
Meanwhile, Kim Tok Hun learned in detail about the operation of food supply stations and grain shops in North and South Hwanghae Provinces and took relevant measures.
