The Seventh Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea was held through video conferencing on Wednesday.
Present there were members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the Union.
Officials of the Central Committee and the provincial, city and county committees of the Union attended the meeting as observers.
The meeting discussed the issue on thoroughly implementing the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and other issues.
A report was made by Kim Jong Sun, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, which was followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers called on all the officials and members of the Union to make a genuine contribution to glorifying this year marking the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and the 75th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as a year of great changes to be remarkably recorded in the course of development of the DPRK, fully aware of their mission and duty as members of the women's political organization which has remained faithful to the Party's leadership.
The meeting adopted a relevant decision.
