Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of different units in Nampho City.
Looking round the Okdo Farm in Ryonggang County and the Kumdang and Unha Farms in Onchon County, he stressed the need for the officials to plan and command the farming for attaining the grain production goal for this year in a scientific and efficient way.
He called at the nurseries and youth work-teams of the farms and told the officials to pay deep attention to administering nutrition of the children in a scientific way and put efforts into the work with the young people so that they can lead the implementation of the Party's policy.
He also learned about the actual conditions of the Onchon County Condiments Factory and the Onchon Branch Institute of the Paddy Research Institute under the Academy of Agricultural Science and the judicial affairs of the Onchon County People's Committee.
Meanwhile, Choe acquainted himself with the assembling of equipment at the Kwangchon Chicken Farm and called for doing everything to ensure the quality.
