China Blamed U.S. for Its Attempt to Curb China’s Development Behind Signboard of Competition

Recently, the U.S. President Biden said in the State of the Union address that the U.S. is running competition with China rather than in conflict. He also said the U.S. can cooperate with China for the sake of American interests but if the latter becomes a threat to its sovereignty, it will launch into action to safeguard the country.

The spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry responded to this by saying that China does neither evade from nor is afraid of competition but it cannot tolerate the act of defining the overall China-U.S. relationship as competition. Then the spokesperson continued:

It is not an act of a responsible country to insult other country, tarnish its image, curb its just right to development, and, worse still, break the global chain of industry and supply without scruple under the pretext of competition.

China will manage the China-U.S. relationship on the three principles of mutual respect, peaceful co-existence and cooperation and co-prosperity as proposed by President Xi Jinping, and, at the same time, will invariably safeguard China’s sovereignty, security and development interests.

Meanwhile, Chinese newspaper “China Daily” mentioned that violating the international order is not China but the U.S., and blamed the latter for violating the international order with its exploitation of tariffs, sanctions, faction-forming and proxy war. It also pointed out that the U.S. shall never prevail over the China in the competition by employing its dirty plot.
