Founding anniversary of 1,000-ri Journey for Learning Schoolchildren's Palace marked

A meeting was held on the 15th to mark the 50th founding anniversary of the 1,000-ri Journey for Learning Schoolchildren's Palace.
Present at the meeting were Kim Jang Won, Secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and the teaching staff and circle members of the palace.
Curator of the palace Kim Hak Chol made a report.
He said.
The great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, while giving field guidance to Jagang Province in May Juche 53(1964), took a kind measure to build a palace for schoolchildren and sent facilities and cultural equipment needed for the operation of the palace on several occasions.
The great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, who valued most the children of the workers in Jagang Province and did everything for them as Kim Il Sung did, watched a performance given by palace circle members and bestowed great love and benevolence on them.
The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un gave an instruction on rebuilding the palace wonderfully in keeping with the demand of the developing times and visited it to make clear the detailed orientation and ways for turning it into a comprehensive extracurricular education base.
The reporter called on all teaching staff to add eternal glory to the immortal leadership exploits of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un for the palace and bring about a fresh turn in the management and operation of the palace and the education and edification of students.
