Vo Van Thuong, president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, sent a reply message to Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on March 23.
The president in the message extended his heartfelt thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for sending a congratulatory message to him upon his election as president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
He noted that he still remembers Kim Jong Un’s official goodwill visit to Vietnam in March 2019 which set up an important milestone for the development of the traditional friendly relations between the two parties and the two countries.
Saying that the party, state and people of Vietnam always attach importance to the traditional friendly relations between Vietnam and the DPRK and hope the good relations will further develop in the interests of the peoples of the two countries and in such a way as to contribute to regional and global peace and stability and strengthening of cooperation, he wished Kim Jong Un good health and greater success in the performance of his noble duty.
