Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of different sectors of the national economy.
He visited the Ryongsong Machine Complex and the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex to encourage their officials and workers who are making innovations in the production of ordered equipment and the Korean-style iron production.
He said the officials should put efforts into the work with scientists and technicians to ensure both quality and speed in the production and the establishment of Juche-based production processes and take thorough measures to supply materials.
Looking round the Ranam Coal-Mining Machine Factory and the Kyongsong Insulator Factory, he stressed the need to make remarkable successes in the production of different kinds of machines, electrical equipment and insulators.
Premier Kim called at farms in a number of cities and counties including Hamhung City and Hamju County of South Hamgyong Province and Kyongsong County of North Hamgyong Province and called for manuring and cultivating the preceding wheat and barley and sowing seeds qualitatively according to the scientific and technological requirements and concentrating efforts on the supply of farming materials.
Learning about in detail about the situation of the Ryonpho and Jungphyong Greenhouse Farms, he called for constantly raising the level of scientification and intensification of the greenhouse vegetable production, expanding the varieties of vegetables and improving the management to normalize the production on a high level.
The consultative meetings held on the spot discussed issues concerned and took relevant measures.
Earlier, Premier Kim discussed some issues arising in carrying out the ordered equipment production task at the Taean Heavy Machine Complex and acquainted himself with the remodelling of the Ice Rink on the spot before taking relevant measures.
