The National Aerospace Development Administration has marked the 10th anniversary of its founding in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

It was established on April 1, Juche 102(2013). It is an organ of guiding the national aerospace development which maps out plans for space development and guides, supervises and controls their implementation in a unified way.

Over the past 10 years the National Aerospace Development Administration has vigorously led the activities for space conquest in the front rank of building a space power while proudly exercising the DPRK's legitimate right of space development. Today it has grown into an authoritative organ representing the state in the field of space development.

It is a product of the noble loyalty and burning patriotic desire and will of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to add eternal brilliance to the immortal exploits performed by the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for building a space power and to demonstrate the dignity of the country and nation all over the world.

The Seventh Session of the 12th Supreme People's Assembly held on April 1, Juche 102(2013) promulgated the DPRK Law on Space Development and adopted a decision on forming the National Aerospace Development Administration.

Kim Jong Un organized the National Aerospace Development Administration, proposed building the Satellite Control Centre and chose its site in person. And he led it to be completed at an early date while solving all problems arising in the project as the owner of construction.

On the arduous road of pioneering and conquering the outer space in Korean style, he always found himself among the space developers, giving them wisdom, strength and courage.

Thanks to his warm devotion, the application satellites made with our own efforts could be launched into the vast open sky one after another.

Under his energetic and meticulous guidance, well-organized guidance and control system of the space development of the country could be established, all the undertakings concerning space survey and use done in a unified and prospective way and a remarkable progress made in the space development of the country including the design and manufacture of application satellites and the development of satellite control equipment.

The officials and space scientists of the National Aerospace Development Administration have got to carrying out this year's task from the new five-year plan of the national aerospace development with full confidence and courage. They are now promoting the preparations for launching new application satellites for different uses with their own efforts and technology and starting their operation.

Active efforts are made to extensively introduce the successes already achieved in the space science and technology into agriculture, fishery, meteorological observation, disaster watch, resources prospecting and development of Korean-style communication system.
