Rural communities in all parts of the country are directing big efforts to completing dry-field irrigation systems.

To this end, South Hwanghae Province pushes ahead with the production of pumps and plastic pipes for dry-field irrigation.

The rural economy committee of the province set up a plastic pipe production process at an enterprise and is arranging work scrupulously to produce necessary quantities of such pipes in a short period.

Cities and counties in the province are pressing on with the production of pumps.

Paechon, Pyoksong and other counties and cities are pushing forward with the production of pumps for dry-field irrigation as scheduled by inspiring technicians and skilled workers.

At present, tens of kilometres of plastic pipes and hundreds of pumps have been produced and the laying of the pipes is under way in the province.

North Phyongan Province is stepping up the construction and production of facilities and equipment needed for the perfection of the local dry-field irrigation system.

The province confirmed new irrigation projects and has organized transport scrupulously to ensure a steady supply of materials for the projects.

Its cities and counties are producing pumps for additional pumping stations to be built there.

Nampho City attaches importance to creating models and generalizing good experience.

To this end, it made plans of projects for irrigating dozens of hectares of dry fields in Usan-ri of Hanggu District and Okto-ri of Ryonggang County and scrupulously organized the work to set an example.

It ensures the irrigation projects progress as planned by taking thorough measures to provide labour, materials and equipment.

The city officials frequent the construction sites to learn about and solve problems in time.

Working people participating in the projects are performing their tasks in a responsible manner.

Other regions including South Phyongan and North Hwanghae provinces are promoting the work to establish irrigation systems with clear goals.
