A welders’ contest was held at Huichon Power Station Unit 1 from May 9 and 22 as part of the competition of skilled workers in various economic sectors and occupations-2023.
The contest, which brought together welders from ministries and national agencies and all provincial people’s committees, assessed the contestants’ understanding of basic theoretical problems and equipment of tools, and rankings were decided by evaluating the quality and quantity of work done by each welder.
The participants showed well their welding techniques and skills which they honed in the course of working life while strictly observing the requirement of technical processes through the contest.
On May 22, rankings were announced, trophies, medals and diplomas were awarded to excellent welders and relevant prizes were given to them.
The recent contest served as a substantial opportunity for contributing to providing a decisive guarantee for carrying out the five-year plan by conducting a brisk campaign to overtake, model after and share experience in all economic sectors and units and drastically raising technical levels and role of skilled workers.
