The Children's Nutrition Administration Institute under the Academy of Medical Science further intensifies the researches for taking care of the children's nutrition in a scientific way.
Researchers have subdivided the "Guide to Taking Care of the Nutrition of the Children" into that for nurseries and kindergartens and that for obstetricians and household doctors, thus enabling the medical workers and nurses to take care of the nutrition of the children according to their age in a scientific way.
They have also made a specific questionnaire to clarify the characteristics of the children's growth and factors influencing them and surveyed hundreds of objects in Pyongyang City and the provinces (municipality directly under the central authority).
They have set up a homepage on the state data communication network and supplemented necessary data in it on a regular basis, laying a foundation to widely disseminate the essential knowledge among the nurses and all the parents bringing up children.
