A meeting took place to mark the 70th anniversary of Osaka Korean Middle and High School under the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) along with a grand festival of Koreans in Osaka at the Osaka Korean Hall of Culture and the playground of the school on May 14.
Present there were Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and also director of its Organizational Department, Song Kun Hak, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and director of its Education Department, Pu Yong Uk, chairman of the Chongryon Osaka Prefectural Headquarters, the chairpersons of Wakayama and Nara prefectural headquarters and other Chongryon officials, members of the executive committee for marking the 70th anniversary of the Osaka Korean school, its graduates, teaching staff and students, their parents and other compatriots.
A congratulatory message from the Education Commission of the DPRK was introduced at the meeting.
Pak Ku Ho made a congratulatory speech before the grand festival of Koreans began.
The participants watched a video recording the warm congratulations offered by the compatriots in the homeland and a congratulatory performance given by members of the art groups of the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace in Pyongyang under the special concern of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.
A variety of events took place at the festival, including various performances given by students of the school and introduction of successive principals of the school and chairpersons of the Korean Educationists Association in Japan and graduates active in different fields.
