The State Academy of Sciences is making success in the agricultural scientific research work.
The scientists there have established a method of selecting the fields suited to the double cropping by dint of geographical information technology, thus opening a prospect for cultivating wheat, barley and other first crops in a more scientific way.
The scientists and employees have expanded the natural bio-activator production facilities with a capacity tens of times larger than last year and sent a large amount of plant nutrient to the farms across the country.
The scientists and technicians provided a firm foundation for boosting the fertilizer production with less raw materials at the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex.
They have also completed several proposals conducive to accelerating the modernization of farm-machine factories and raising the accuracy in processing accessories.
They are presenting the innovative technical proposals needed for readjusting and reinforcing the irrigation structures for preventing damages by drought and flood and for perfecting irrigation system.
