Out of the desire to ensure children’s rights to existence, health care and education and to improve their life, many countries in the world have begun to commemorate June 1 as the International Children’s Day. Since then, more than 70 years have passed.

In order to arouse social interest in children, the hope and future of humankind, and to create favorable conditions and environment for their growth and development, the international community has allegedly exerted its respective efforts.

However, many children are still subject to the victims of poverty and violence and the objects of social indifference and exclusion.

Compared with such a situation, our children are the fortunate as they grow up happily under the warm love of the father.

In every place where our children live, to say nothing of the palatial baby homes and children’s homes built across the country, we can hear a song our children enjoy singing.

That is the song “We are the happiest in the World”.

They are mere children unable to fully express what they have in their minds.

But they care so much to sing this song.

There is a moving story behind it. That is the fraternal love formed between respected Marshal Kim Jong Un and our children.

On February 3, 2014, three days after the lunar New Year’s Day, respected Marshal Kim Jong Un visited Pyongyang Children’s Home.

The children recognized him and ran towards him, calling him father. He bent his knees to embrace them all, and heard all their babblings and songs with affectionate look: One frolicking child prattled that they have nothing to envy in the world as the Marshal sends them pretty clothes from season to season and delicious confectionary; and some other children were anxious to sing songs before the Marshal.

Looking around the infant room, he put his hand under the quilt and personally touched the foot of a sleeping baby, and he was satisfied to see the good health condition of the triplets being brought up at the expense of the state and society.

On June 1, that year, on the occasion of the International Children’s Day, he visited the Pyongyang Baby Home again and taught down to the smallest details on the issues arising in the teaching and education for children as well as the management of the baby home.

He then blessed the bright future of the children, saying that in the future, famous scientists, sportsmen, artists, soldiers and heroes should all be produced among them.

As we have the benevolent father, who visits the baby home all the time, even on the New Year’s Day or on children’s holiday and gives the children warm parental love and affection, and cares so much for the children lest they envy anything, our children are growing up without any gloomy look on their faces.

Children do not know of lies and affectation, and accept everything as it is, and frankly tell their thoughts.

The impressive image of such children, vying each other to run towards the embrace of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , shouting that “Our father is Marshal  Kim Jong Un ”, shows our children’s world which can be seen anywhere on this land.

At this moment of marking the International Children’s Day, all children in our country are enjoying their holiday, singing the song “We are the happiest in the world” to reflect their happy images who are coming into full blossom under the sunshine.
