What is fundamental in training those with distinguished talents is to correctly find out their inborn aptitude and ability.
In the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the number of wonder boys and girls is increasing day by day along with the intensified work to actively find out the kindergarten children with distinguished talents and bring them up systematically.
There are a lot of talented children at Songyo Kindergarten No. 3 in Songyo District of the capital city of Pyongyang.
Among them are a pianist who took the first place in a national art festival, a soloist who was highly estimated at a national contest of the kindergarten children with distinguished talents, a little poet who can write poems and songs readily, a little artist, a master of paduk (go), a master of memory and so on.
Songs sung by children of the kindergarten were televised several times.
All these successes were made under the active guidance of the kindergarten teachers.
The teachers watched all actions of the children under their charge from the pedagogical point of view while always paying attention to finding out those with a good ear and an unusual memory and those who can express what they saw, heard and felt in a depictive way.
Really different were the aptitude and talents of the children they found.
But teachers had poor knowledge of a field as they were not experts and they could not give a correct guidance to the children because they were weak in their practical skills and abilities.
They tried hard to have special knowledge of a field concerned and strengthened mutual cooperation to have manifold abilities.
They worked hard with a determination that the valuable talents of the children, the future of the country, in the bud should never be neglected. As a result, the ability of teachers got higher and a big foundation was laid to bring up the talented children properly.
Thanks to their devoted efforts, the children's talents are developing day by day, adding to the prides of the kindergarten.
