Mass rallies of Pyongyang citizens were held at the May Day Stadium and different other places in Pyongyang City on the 25th on the occasion of June 25, the day of struggle against US imperialists.
The venues of the rallies were crowded with 120,000 working people and youth and students manifesting their will to revenge upon the US imperialists who provoked an aggressive war to obliterate the DPRK in its cradle and committed never to be condoned crimes against the Korean nation for over 70 years.
Present there were Ri Il Hwan and Pak Thae Song, Secretaries of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Su Gil, Chief Secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, Jon Sung Guk, Vice-Premier of the Cabinet, Ri Tu Song, Department Director of the Party Central Committee, officials of the working people's organizations, officials and working people of the institutions and industrial establishments and youth and students in Pyongyang City.
Speakers at the rallies said long time has passed since the Korean people were forced a brutal war by the US imperialists, but June 25 remains in the hearts of the Korean people as a wound of grudge never to be healed and the Korean people had to undergo bitter pains and misfortunes owing to the war.
They said: The US imperialists, who once attempted to use A-bomb against the Korean people during the past war, are hell-bent on military confrontation and nuclear war exercises, instigating the south Korean puppet traitor group, the heinous enemy of the nation, to serve as their shock brigade for aggressive war. It clearly reveals that their aggressive nature will never change for all ages.
It is the duty of the generation of present era which brooks no further delay to settle accounts with the US imperialists, the speakers said and stressed that those who are filled with an indomitable will against the enemy will mercilessly punish the US imperialists with a resolute sacred war of revenge.
Then, there were demonstrations.
The demonstrators marched, chanting the slogans representing their burning hatred for the US imperialists and the traitor group who are persisting in their reckless war provocations against the DPRK.
