Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- It has been 75 years since the founding of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
In the period the DPRK has made world-startling leaps and changes and strikingly demonstrated the might of the socialist state centered on the popular masses under the wise leadership of the peerlessly great men.
President Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK on September 9, Juche 37 (1948), and it was a historic event that opened up a new era of building a socialist state centered on the popular masses and brought about a radical turn in carving out the destiny of the Korean nation.
On the basis of the Juche idea, the President built the DPRK government into a representative of the independent rights of the popular masses, an organizer of their creative ability and activities and a guardian of the people's interests.
He provided the Korean people with all conditions for leading an independent and creative life as the masters of the state and society and built up a genuine people's country on this land for the first time in the history of humankind while victoriously advancing the revolution and construction by believing in the people and relying on their strength. It was the President's immortal revolutionary exploits.
Chairman Kim Jong Il , who personified Kim Il Sung 's noble outlook on the people, glorified the DPRK as a socialist country centered on the popular masses, cherishing the patriotic creed that the country cannot exist without people.
Regarding the hardships for the people as his pleasure in the whole period of his revolutionary leadership, the Chairman devoted his all to the wellbeing of the people and made the history of love for the people till the last moment of his great life.
His undying exploits full of boundless love and devotion to the people served as the basic source of making the DPRK shine more brilliantly as a genuine people's country.
Today the DPRK is shining as a people's country where the people-first principle has been consolidated into a solid political climate and national custom and the spirit of making selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people is thoroughly applied in overall state building and activities as it is guided by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
Indeed, the 75 years of the DPRK was a brilliant history adorned with most ardent patriotism and love and devotion to the people shown by the peerless great men. -0-
