Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- The performance of a revolutionary opera "Women of Village on the Bank of the Nam" is now going on at the Kangwon Provincial Art Theatre in the DPRK.
The opera, created by the Kangwon Provincial Art Troupe in Juche 62 (1973) under the meticulous guidance of the peerlessly great men, shows with artistic scenes the ardent patriotism and indomitable struggle of the women in the village near the River Nam who helped the Korean People's Army soldiers in defending a height of the country during the last Fatherland Liberation War.
The Kangwon Provincial Party Committee and the provincial art troupe pushed ahead with the work to re-create the opera on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the field guidance of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il to the art troupe.
The creators and artistes of the provincial art troupe successfully completed all the depictive elements of the work in an ideological and artistic way on the basis of the practical experience gained in creating revolutionary operas.
The performance instills into the audience the truth that the safety of each family and happiness can be guaranteed in defending the country and only when they fight, united close around the Party, can they defeat any enemy and win victory. -0-
