An internet commemorative lecture was held in Kampala, Uganda on August 3, 2023 on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the DPRK and Uganda under the title “Why is it regarded as the only way of realizing genuine independence in Africa to apply the Juche idea”. It was co-sponsored by the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement and the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea.
Figures of political, social and press circles participated in the commemorative lecture.
Participants in the lecture said that the DPRK firmly adheres to independence and maps out and realizes policies not by reading others’ face or under their pressure but in accordance with its people’s demand and interests and in its own way.
Saying that anyone, who wants peace and prosperity of his country in the present grave international situation, should learn from the DPRK’s example, they mentioned that the African countries should also treat and solve all problems in accordance with their people’s demand and interests.
The participants in the lecture said that the friendly and cooperative relations between Uganda and the DPRK would be further strengthened and developed in the future under the wise leadership of H.E. President Kim Jong Un of the DPRK State Affairs and president Museveni of the Republic of Uganda.
