Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Vo Van Thuong, president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on Monday sent a reply message to Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
They in the message expressed heartfelt thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for sending a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
They expressed belief that the traditional relations of friendship between the two countries would steadily be consolidated and developed in keeping with the expectations of their peoples and would contribute to maintaining the regional and global peace, stability, cooperation and development, thanks to the common interest and efforts of the party and state leaders and peoples of the two countries.
They wished Kim Jong Un good health and greater successes in his noble work.
