The Kumsong Tractor Factory plays an important role in developing the machine-building industry of the country and carrying out the rural technical revolution.
One day in November Juche 106(2017) the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the factory, put forward crucial tasks to build it up into a core factory playing a leading role in realizing the comprehensive mechanization of agriculture, into an advanced factory to be called a model of vehicle machine industry and into a factory which successfully established the cultured ways in production and life, and solved the important problems in person.
He indicated concrete orientation and ways to change the factory and dispatched powerful construction force. He took important Party and state measures to remodel the factory in a little over five years, paying deep concern to it.
He gave field guidance to the Kumsong Tractor Factory again on August 23, Juche 112(2023).
He highly praised the factory for having automated the major production processes in the main and laid a foundation for manufacturing nice-looking tractors with practical efficiency while lowering the production cost. And he said the task of the Kumsong Tractor Factory is very important as it is a core factory which can't be replaced by others in realizing the comprehensive mechanization of agricultural production.
That day, he expressed the expectation and belief that the officials and employees of the factory would become a reliable example in the van of the struggle for developing the machine-building industry of the country and carrying out the rural technical revolution by carrying forward the proud tradition of workers of the former generation in the Chollima era who had manufactured the first tractor with bare hands by highly displaying the spirit of self-reliance.
Elated by his love and trust, the officials and employees of the Kumsong Tractor Factory are working hard to invent and make a greater number of modern tractors and farm machines.
