Pyongyang, October 9 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave the following answer to a question by KCNA on Sunday as regards the brutal terrorist attack in Syria that caused many casualties:
The recent hideous terrorist act was prompted by the sinister intention of the hostile forces inside and outside Syria who are seeking to create uneasiness and horror in Syria and thus bring obstacles to its government's efforts for the solution of crisis and the reconstruction while persistently attempting to overthrow the legitimate regime of Syria.
We strongly denounce the terrorist attack as an undisguised infringement on the Syrian people's desire for national sovereignty and peaceful and happy life and express deep sympathy to the victims and their bereaved families.
Taking this opportunity, we reaffirm the consistent stand of the DPRK government against all sorts of terrorism and extend firm support and solidarity to the Syrian government and people courageously struggling against the hostile forces' vicious challenges and threats. -0-
