For over 60-long years, the Cuban people have been subjected to all sorts of misfortune and pains from the inhumane sanctions and blockade by the U.S. To give support and encouragement to the Cuban people has now become a unified stand among the progressive people aspiring to international justice, and a general trend of the world.
A clear example would be the signature campaign called “Cuba Lives and Resists” which is being conducted in the world.
This large-scale campaign launched in mid-August under the co-sponsorship of various social and political organizations in Latin America and the rest of the world sets its main purpose in demanding the U.S. to remove Cuba from its list of “state sponsors of terrorism”.
The campaign aims at sending an open letter to the U.S. administration on December 10, Human Rights Day, once it receives more than a million signatures. The letter will demand an immediate end of the heinous acts against Cuba.
After listing Cuba as a “state sponsor of terrorism”, the U.S. extended sanctions and blockade against it for another year. This clearly shows to the international community the current U.S. administration’s attempt to execute its relentless hostile policy against Cuba.
The U.S. must remove Cuba from its list of “state sponsors of terrorism” and listen to the international community in their demand to put a period to its notorious sanctions and blockade against Cuba.
