We will greet the 75th year of the founding of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the historic time when the world progressive people are waging a struggle to defend sovereignty and dignity of the nations and countries amid the complicated international situations and all kinds of challenges.The 75-year long history of the DPRK is a victorious and glorious course in which the dignity and might of Juche Korea have been displayed under the wise guidance of the peerlessly great men who built a powerful socialist state and glorified it.

The great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, who founded the Juche idea and applied it to hew out the untrodden path for independent development of the DPRK, had invariably maintained the principle of independence in politics, self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in national defence in state building and activities. From the stand of Juche, he settled all the problems in keeping with the DPRK people’s interests and the specific conditions of the country. His guidance was the main source that made the DPRK win victory in socialist construction and turn into a powerful socialist country.

The great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung laid the solid foundation of the self-supporting national economy, by thoroughly maintaining the independent attitude in the state building and activities.

He dealt resolute blows to the high-handedness of foreign forces and the frontal challenges by those steeped in the worship of big powers in order to establish Juche in the revolution and construction. He made this bold decision in reliance on the strength of people and it was recorded as a great event in the history.

The great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung is the prominent leader who built the first invincible state entity based on the cornerstone of independence in politics, self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in national defence.

The great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il attached great importance to adhering to independence in state activities and realizing the independent politics in state activities from the first days of his revolutionary leadership. He set forth the slogans Let us meet the requirements of Juche in ideology, technology and culture! and Let us live our own way! to advance the Korean revolution along the road of independence.

When socialism was collapsed in some countries due to the imperialists’ vicious anti-socialist moves, he held higher the banner of independence and Songun (military-first) and thus turned the DPRK into a world military power and laid a solid foundation for building an economic power.

It is his immutable theory that the independent dignity and interests of the state and people and happiness of posterity are guaranteed by powerful military strength.

The great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il safeguarded the sovereignty of the country and the prestige of the nation, never allowing any deviation from the revolutionary line of independence; and he aroused the DPRK people to the struggle for more fully displaying the might of the self-supporting national economy, thus frustrating the moves of the imperialists to isolate and stifle the country.

The great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il who remarkably increased the might of the DPRK dignified with independence in politics, self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in national defence saw to it that everything was solved by their own efforts in conformity with the interests of the Korean revolution and DPRK people while frustrating all the pressure moves of the imperialists and modern social democrats.

Today, the great cause of independence in politics, self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in national defence is shining as the cause of a great man that can be maintained and accomplished only by the prominent thinker and theoretician, peerless statesman and iron-willed brilliant commander.

The DPRK, a patriotic legacy left by the great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung and the great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, is displaying its dignity and mightiness all over the world under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un advanced an idea of giving full play to our state-first spirit in the state building and activities and highly important guidelines for building a powerful socialist nation and built up the country’s self-defence capability as the strongest.

Under his energetic guidance, new spirit and speed representing the era were created and the national power of the DPRK has been remarkably built up.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said in his historic policy speech that the great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il raised independence as the life of the Korean revolution and the fundamental cornerstone for state building and advanced the revolution and construction in our own way while categorically rejecting worship of big countries, dogmatism and the high-handedness and pressure by outside forces, and under their wise leadership the Republic has been built and developed to be a socialist state, independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence, and it is still demonstrating to the world its prestige and might as a powerful independent country.

It is the greatest exploit performed by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un that he rapidly developed Juche Korea into a world power with invincible strength, realizing the long cherished desire of the DPRK people.

The DPRK people are fully demonstrating the might of the self-supporting national economy, performing labor feats in every sector of the building of a powerful socialist country under his wise leadership with the spirit of self-reliance as treasured sword for the prosperity.

No force on earth can keep the Korean people from dynamically advancing with the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in the van of the revolution in the face of all sorts of challenges of the reactionaries of history.

Convinced that the Korean–style socialism will continue to advance victoriously under the wise leadership the respected General Secretary Comrade Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the idea and cause of the great Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il, we, entire members of the Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism Study Group in Gauteng Province, South Africa, will conduct the activities of studying and disseminating the Juche idea, more positively in the future.
