Dear comrades,

Honorable ladies and gentlemen delegates,

We must start from the fact that Comrade Kim Il Sung, Comrade Kim Jong Il in their work traveled a long, hard way and with tireless efforts for the country, for the nation, for socialism, and for the many achievements and victories through their work and struggle for the construction of a new era, Korean-style socialism at the foundation of which was the Juche idea.

Let’s see the road traveled by the DPRK people during the period of revolutionary movement, when the foundation of the future socialist society was laid.

It is necessary to go back upon history, to unfold facts, events and the victory towards the eternal fortress of socialism in a short presentation, and to admire the greatness of the road traveled and the victories achieved by the DPRK people through struggle and work, through the programs established by the Workers’ Party of Korea under the leadership of the great leaders Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il.

As a direct result of Russia’s defeat by Japan in the Russo-Japanese War of 1904, Korea began to be reduced to a Japanese colony in 1905, and became a complete colony in 1910.

It is known that the colonization of the peoples brought tears and suffering to almost all the world, and the imperialists exploited the peoples to the point of blood and robbed them, the enslaved, young people, children, girls and women. Everyone today looks with admiration at the great edifices that were made of stone and blood, either monumental buildings or cathedrals from the medieval era, megalithic constructions from the tombs of the pharaohs to impenetrable walls in the entire system of fortifications and they are the ones absolutely built on the foundation of millions of souls and blood of slaves.

The Japanese, who bled the Korean people white, created an infrastructure, but its only purpose was the cruelest exploitation of the colony. The Japanese made that the Korean people in inhumane conditions, built a network of roads that they needed for exploitation and the export to Japan of all the wealth as well as the population and sent in a brutal and inhuman way the youth and children boys and girls around the age of 10-12 years, 200 thousands of girls and young women with children to the brothels across the borders, as sexual slaves.

The history of Korea had been eliminated. The Japanese language was taught in schools as long as they remained, in addition they forbade the Korean people to write and speak in their own language and the punishment was death. They were forced to bear Japanese names. The Korean history was robbed of valuable cultural assets that attested to the origin and antiquity of Korean culture and they were sent to Japan and are still there today.

The atrocities done to the Korean people, persecution and cruel exploitation led to the birth of a strong resentment towards the Japanese in the hearts of the Korean people, and the resentment still finds echoes throughout the Korean peninsula today.

In this historical, dramatic context (1905-1945), eternal President Kim Il Sung engaged in the fight for Korea and its people, in extremely difficult conditions for the survival of the Korean people.

In these conditions Comrade Kim Il Sung conceived the idea of creating a true revolutionary vanguard organization, with a just program and based on the broad popular masses capable of leading the anti-imperialist national liberation struggle in Korea.

Comrade Kim Il Sung, founded the Down-with-Imperialism Union, scientifically defined, in his speech The Path of the Korean Revolution delivered at the historical Kalun meeting in June 1930, the characters and tasks of the Korean revolution, and on this basis presented both the line to be followed in the armed struggle against Japan, as well as the line of the anti-Japanese national united front as well as that of the founding of a party.

If we talk about the legacy left over for the centuries to the Korean people, I would mention that the Korean people gained confidence in their creative, regenerative power, were and are a proud, persevering, brave people to the point of sacrifice for revolutionary conquests, for their homeland, for the future generations to come. It is the formidable legacy.

Comrade Kim Il Sung is the father of the socialist Korea. He made a homeland settled within its borders, the stable, strong and honored Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and defended it until the end of his life.

The second legacy is the Workers’ Party of Korea, a revolutionary vanguard organization with people determined to implement a socialist system and build a free, independent and prosperous country respected by the entire international community.

The third valuable heritage is a redoubtable political construction that changed the way of manifestation and action of the entire society through the programs based on principles of the Juche idea, and it created a monolithic connection between the leader and the people, in which the leader becomes the most important force in the construction of the new society SOCIALISM.

Under the flag of the Juche idea, a new era in history was born and many oppressed nations, former martyrs of the slave colonial yoke have become free and independent and today in the world there are over 1200 organizations in over 120 states, regional institutes for the study of this philosophy–the Juche idea.

Today, the DPRK is an economic and military power. In the country there is an imperishable trace of his thinking in education, culture, health, cities, industrial constructions and agriculture. There are numerous art monuments that remind of the father of the Korean nation, numerous monuments proudly bearing his august name. He left a legacy of numerous literary works published over 10 800.

The fourth legacy in my opinion is that the DPRK people have a powerful defence system. Today this invincible defense program developed by Comrade Kim Jong Un, keeps at a distance any attempt at intimidation or threat to the sovereignty and independence of the socialist state.

In August 1945, Comrade Kim Il Sung defeated the Japanese imperialist power, at the end of 15 years of fighting by organizing his guerrilla army, one of the 5 military powers of the world.

The US imperialism suffered a humiliating defeat in the Korean war provoked in the 1950s and the armistice agreement signed by American General Clark acknowledging defeat on July 27, 1953.

Dear delegates,

The legacy left by the great leader Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il is priceless.

Everything was possible thanks to the tireless work of the great heroes Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il whose personal example and perseverance knew how to channel the will and work power of the entire people as a huge unstoppable stream in building a modern society that ensures the supremacy of the socialist system.

How was it possible?

Of course, to come from slavery to the era of flight to the stars in a relatively short time is a formidable question.

After the Fatherland Liberation War Comrade Kim Il Sung launched a line of economic and social development for establishing the stages of development through five-year plans. He gave special importance to heavy industry in parallel with light industry and agriculture by establishing agricultural cooperatives, in 1953. He created the national movement, Chollima movement of the entire people. He developed a scientific socialist economic management system with multiple advantages based on Theses on the Socialist Rural Question in Our Country which he made public in February 1964.

Comrade Kim Il Sung took great care in the development of the socialist system based on the masses, established the system of universal free medical care, the 11-year compulsory education system, the system of housing construction at the state expense.

After the division imposed by the great powers, Comrade Kim Il Sung dedicated his efforts to the reunification of the homeland, declaring that it would be the greatest gift that could be given to the Korean nation. He put forward the three principles of national reunification, the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the plan of establishing the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo (DFRK).

After the fall of socialism throughout Europe, he neutralized the concerted political, economic and military offensive of the imperialist forces led by the United States of America.

The Juche idea created by the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung serves as a living legacy, constituting for the Workers’ Party of Korea and the DPRK people the invincible flag that guided the revolution on the only Juche path, in the context of the difficulties caused by the huge political turbulences on the world level. The Songun politics enforced by Chairman Kim Jong Il gave the Party and the people the strength to create a miracle even in the most severe situation.

Thanks to the selfless struggle of the people and the service personnel of the People’s Army, in their boundless faith to the great Juche idea, to the Party, resounding victories in socialist construction have been achieved and lasting foundations have been laid for the consummation of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

I believe that the greatest achievement and legacy for future generations is the country’s development program and the continuing line provided through the political will and devotion of the eternal President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and as a crowning of such a political program is the great Leader of the Korean people, Comrade Kim Jong Un, an excellent visionary, diplomat and an exceptional military strategist bringing to the people of the entire Korean nation grandiose economic and social development programs and military programs established at the 7th and 8th Congresses of Workers’ Party of Korea.

The discredited propaganda of the world imperialism, media platforms bought by the great imperial powers do anything to say anything in order to defame the socialist system which was put on a high phase by the great politicians Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. That’s why many who do not understand, do not know the truth about socialist Korea and about the effort of its people to be free, independent.
