The polling station of sub-constituency No. 40 of constituency No. 10, which was set up at Kim Chaek University of Technology for the elections of deputies to the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly, was decked in a festive attire on the polling day in March 2019.
In the front yard of the e-library of the university where there was the polling station, the teaching staff and students were having a merry dance.
At that time, a car came through the front gate into the university and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un got off the car with a bright smile on his face.
After waving back to the cheering lecturers and students, he happily said that the atmosphere of the polling station was nice and, referring to the dancing in front of it, he added that every place was in a festive mood that day.
He entered the hall through the entrance of the e-library and after a while received a ballot and went into the station to vote for a senior official of the university, a candidate for a deputy to the Supreme People’s Assembly.
His vote of that day was an expression of his trust in and encouragement to the entire teaching staff of the university who were supporting the country by dint of science and technology.
After casting his vote, he told the university’s senior official that the university occupies a very important position at present. And he said that the university should play the role as an engine and the “eldest brother” in making a breakthrough in reenergizing the national economy, improving the people’s living standards and developing science and technology.
That day, the lecturers and students made up their mind to return the favour granted by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who expects their university to become a top-notch university integrating education with scientific research and production as soon as possible, by achieving spectacular scientific and educational successes.
