Study-group in Austria

In 1938 Austria lost their sovereignty, because of the occupation of Nazi Germany. There was no resistance against the occupation because the government thought that the Austrian army was too weak to protect the country and a huge percentage of the population was in favour that the small Austria became a part of big Germany. From March 1938 to April 1945 Austria was erased from the world map. Even though there was a big oppression by the fascists, from 1938 there started several resistant movements for restoration of an independent and sovereign Austrian state. The illegal Communist Party of Austria was the biggest and strongest force in this antifascist movement. But besides the communists, there existed many different groups. Even Monarchists and Catholics organised separated resistance-organisations. A lot of the antifascist fighters get caught by the fascist police and killed or imprisoned in the Nazi concentration-camps. During the wartime a lot of brave people turned out in the resistance movement to sacrifice their lives for the free Austria.

All these resistance-groups acted individually and separately, so they didn’t succeed. The reason why Austria resurrected was the liberation by the allied forces and the capitulation of Nazi-Germany in 1945. But to get our sovereignty back took much more time.

From 1945 to 1955, Austria was like Germany, occupied by four foreign countries: the US, France, the Great Britain, and the Soviet Union. Austria was divided into four parts.

In 1955 Austria got their sovereignty back. Because of the cold war, the Soviet Union, demanded a neutral status of Austria, comparing to Switzerland.

From 1955 Austria became a small independent, neutral country between the two big military blocks: NATO and the Warsaw Treaty. The following decades were the most prosperous decades in our history because Austria was not supressed by the Super-Powers. Austria had excellent contacts with many countries in the world. Especially since 1970, when the Social Party got into power, Austria played an important role in international affairs. Vienna became the third head-quarter of the UNO, after New York and Geneva. A lot of negotiations between the Super-Powers were held in Vienna. Vienna became also the headquarter of the OSCE. The socialist prime-minister Bruno Kreisky established diplomatic relations with the DPRK in 1975. In that year Austria was the first non-communist country with diplomatic ties with the DPRK. Bruno Kreisky visited the DPRK in 1983. During his stay he had several meetings with President Kim Il Sung. Kim Il Sung took always care of the health of Kreisky. He sent several times traditional Korean medicine and a doctor to Austria to improve his health-conditions. During this time, the people of Austria were very proud of their country and their prime minister. After 1989 the political situation changed dramatically in Europe. The collapse of the socialist countries changed the political situation in Austria. Prime-minister Franz Vranitzky, a right wing socialist, decided that Austria should join the European Union. In 1995 his vision became reality. In the same year Austria joined the partnership for peace program of NATO. Since 1995 Austria lost its complete sovereignty. Officially Austria is still a neutral country, but it is dominated by NATO and the big countries in the EU, especially Germany. In the last decades Austria had very strong economic ties to Russia. Approximately 80% of the gas which is used in Austria came originally from Russia through pipelines. Austria paid because of the friendly contacts a reasonable price. Since the start of the Ukraine war last year, Austria is forced by the EU and NATO to reduce the import of Russian gas. Instead of this, Austria is forced to import very expensive liquid gas from the US. Austria is also forced to support all kind of sanctions against Russia and Belarus, although we are a neutral country. Nowadays a big number of the Austrian population suffer from high energy prices and from Inflation. More and more people can’t afford to buy enough food.

For the Austrian population the lack of sovereignty means a lack of welfare. In our country most of the people are very unsatisfied with the current situation. They are searching for political parties to solve their economic problems. Not one of the existing parties in Austria, neither right-wing nor left-wing has a correct perspective to help the people. The reason why they fail is that all the parties are not fighting for the sovereignty of Austria.

We must show the people in Austria, that only in a sovereign country, people can decide their own destiny. Austrian politicians always argue that a small country is not able to go on its own way. For this reason, we must show the people in Austria the reality in the DPRK.

The reality of the DPRK shows, that it is possible for a small country to be independent and sovereign, although it is under sanctions from the US and their allies. This is possible because the people in the DPRK have the outstanding leaders, and a correct political theory. In the DPRK Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism systemized by Leader Kim Jong Un is the guideline in the fields of politics, the economy, national defence and culture in the DPRK.

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is the guarantee for developing socialism in the country.

Thanks to Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and the wise leadership of Leader Kim Jong Un, the DPRK is developing towards a modern industrialized country. The Korean People’s Army is equipped with modern arms including ICBM with nuclear warheads. In the DPRK the people can lead a happy life, because they are not afraid of any imperialistic aggression.

We must teach the progressive people in Austria about Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and the achievements of Leader Kim Jong Un.To follow Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and introduce it to the current situation in Austria will be the only way to improve economic and spiritual living conditions.

Our group-members must work harder to spread Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and the works of Leader Kim Jong Un. This is our task.
