Pyongyang, December 1 (KCNA) -- Premier Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, made a field survey of various sectors.
Going round the Taean Heavy Machine Complex which is bringing about a great upsurge in production to successfully conclude this year, the premier underscored the need to rationally dovetail the production processes and steadily raise the processing capacity and precision of equipment and thus fully produce and supply equipment needed by the construction site of the Tanchon Power Station and other sectors of the national economy.
He stressed that officials, workers and technicians should push ahead with the modernization of production processes in a planned way, bearing in mind that science and technology precisely mean the growth of production, and direct efforts to technical innovation for increasing the efficiency of generating equipment in particular.
At the Kumsong Tractor Factory, he learned about the production and performance of various farm machines including tractors and stressed the need to actively develop and produce efficient farm machines suited to the specific conditions of the country and send them to the socialist rural areas.
Visiting the provincial building-materials exhibition-2023 and the national presentation of technical experience and exhibition of scientific research achievements in the field of agriculture, he stressed the need to realize the domestic production of building materials, improve the quality of products including finishing building materials and widely share and generalize the agricultural science and technology achievements and experience and thus make a substantial contribution to the stable and sustained development of agricultural production.
The field consultative meetings discussed the issue of supplying materials and cooperative goods necessary for the production of custom-built equipment in time, the issue of further strengthening the foundation for the production of farm machines through close cooperation between scientific research institutes and production units, the issue of realizing on a high level the diversification and multi-coloring of finishing building materials relying on local raw materials, the issue of breeding much more high-yielding species and rapidly introducing them. -0-
