Youth and students from across the country started the study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the Mt Paektu area.
The revolutionary battle sites are associated with the bloody anti-Japanese armed struggle waged by the first-generation revolutionaries of the Korean revolution to achieve the historic cause of Korea’s liberation under the leadership of Kim Il Sung.
A ceremony of starting the study tour took place at the plaza before the statue of Chairman Kim Jong Il in the City of Samjiyon on December 1.
It was attended by Ri Thae Il, chief secretary of the Ryanggang Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, youth league officials and study tourists.
The participants laid a basket of flowers and flowers at the statue of the Chairman and made a deep bow to him.
Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a report, followed by speeches.
The speakers stressed the need for all study tourists to fully demonstrate the firm faith and will of the youth vanguard to steadily carry forward the lineage of Paektu, the lifeblood of Juche, under the leadership of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.
After the meeting, study tourists set out on the study tour, fluttering the flags of the DPRK, youth league and study tourists’ group.
