The factory college students are busy with production and studying. They unanimously think how to understand the contents of education in a short time.
Doctor and Associate Professor Pak Hui Ryon, Head of a Department of the Pyongyang College of Technology, says:
"The students of our part-time college have a lot of questions about the problems arising in the production. Teachers go to the production sites every Friday. They find out the students' possible questions and study the ways to solve them before coming back."
The teachers make painstaking efforts to innovate the educational contents and methods on the basis of a deep understanding of the students' working life at their production sites.
They constantly rack their brains to invent and introduce profitable and superior teaching methods, making a great progress in education.
The new teaching methods for computer local area network designing and for machining practice based on virtual and augmented reality technologies are a fruition of their speculation and pursuit.
The experimental apparatuses newly manufactured by them also make an active contribution to enhancing the practical abilities of the students.
In the virtual environment just the same as the production sites, the students find by themselves a solution to the theoretical and practical problems they often face in the production.
As the contents and methods of education were brought close to the reality, the students are playing a big role in putting the production processes on a modern footing and in the technical remodelling.
It is the principle of education consistently maintained and aspired to by the teachers of the Pyongyang College of Technology to make the course of studying while working lead to creation.
