Recently the Pyongyang Condiments Factory has produced various kinds of basic foodstuffs with wheat as a main ingredient, winning popularity of people.
The factory has established a new production method of tasty wheat paste according to the liking and dietary habit of the people.
Section Chief Kim Hye Ok says:
"Wheat has greater content of carbohydrate than bean. So wheat paste is 10 times sweeter than bean paste.
We established a new wheat-grading process to mass-produce wheat paste. And we finally confirmed the enzyme decomposing temperature and time so as to keep the wheat paste from diluting during fermentation."
In the past they produced paste with beans as a main ingredient.
In the production of paste with wheat as an ingredient, however, they had to solve some sci-tech problems including the complete removal of wheat husks and weak paste during maturing.
Technicians of the factory solved such technical problems by themselves and finally, completed the new wheat paste production process.
Different kinds of wheat paste and peppered wheat paste were highly estimated at the Pyongyang City Consumer Goods Exhibitions held this year.
Now the demand for the basic foodstuffs of the factory is increasing day by day.
Not resting on its laurels, the factory keeps directing efforts to increasing the variety of basic foodstuffs with wheat as a main ingredient and improving their quality.
