The Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea issued Decree No. 1488 "On Instituting New Dongs and Street in the Sopho Area of Pyongyang City" on the 5th.
The decree said a magnificent and splendid ideal street of the people has been built at the gateway to the north of the capital Pyongyang thanks to the burning loyalty and patriotism of millions of young vanguard to fully display the might of the only youth power in the world by performing new feats of heroic youth glorifying the great Kim Jong Un era.
According to the decree, Jonwi-dong Nos. 1 and 2 shall be instituted in the Sopho area of Pyongyang City and belong to Hyongjesan District of Pyongyang City.
The decree also noted that the section from the Sosan crossroads before the Three-Revolution Exhibition House to the Sambong Bridge shall be called Jonwi Street.
