Esteemed guests and participants,

Availing itself of this opportunity, Africa of Juche, through myself though I am humble, extends gratitude to organizers of this international seminar held in the Italian Republic, in its capital Rome on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Commemorating this historic day, we pay the highest tribute to the respected President Kim Il Sung who authored the Juche idea to give life to this fraternal country and add to it. We also pay noble tribute to the great Leader Kim Jong Il who applied the Juche idea fully in all realms of the state life and to Marshal Kim Jong Un who leads the state affairs with seasoned and creative intelligence to further strengthen and develop the DPRK into an independent, sovereign and peace-loving powerful country of socialism in the world and achieve miraculous social development, surprising the whole world as well as the DPRK people.

As the respected President Kim Il Sung always said, we live in the era of independence. We should rely on the strength of our people and consider special situations of our African countries. Each nation can safeguard its dignity and develop independently and possibly achieve national independence only by holding fast to the Juche character that teaches us that one is master of one’s own destiny and has the strength to shape it.

It is very important for the African people to believe in themselves and keep self-reliance and sense of national pride by relying on their main idea of not tolerating pressure or interference of external forces. All African citizens should be well versed in manners and customs of their people along with history, geography, the economy, culture of their countries and master new technologies. They should also positively encourage national culture value while valuing national cultural heritages and opposing and rejecting flunkeyism towards the imperialist powers and all outmoded ideological trends forced by them. Enforcing the independent politics of a country does not mean to reject international cooperation, but instead, to inspire cooperation that guarantees the respect of each country’s independence and the mutual benefits.

Essential basis for the independent politics is the building of an independent national economy and the guarantee made by powerful self-reliant national defence capabilities. The building of an independent national economy is based on the strategic line of invariably holding fast to the principle of putting the economy on a Juche basis. In other words, it is necessary to make the economy develop in conformity with realities of one’s country by putting the economy on a modern and scientific basis and by considering one’s technical resources as the main. In addition to this, it is necessary to make the working masses participate actively in the economic construction and the fair distribution of social and economic fruits. For this reason, it is important for our African countries to lay obstacles before the system that turns its back against absolute majority of the masses and causes high rate of unemployment.

The prerequisite for the independent politics is to strengthen a genuine national self-defence that guarantees security of the people and wealth.

Today the African continent is torn to pieces due to some fratricidal wars, and this can be seen especially in the eastern part of the DR Congo. Some neighboring countries which were reduced to a tool of separatists ceaselessly commit a massacre of the people in the region by instigating armed gangs who were trained by them in order to shamelessly plunder its natural resources. The countries in the region of Sahel are also confronted with the Djihad armed gangs who threaten security of their people and disturb their development. The former Chadian president said at a talk… that Djihad forces can exist in Sahel is a result of the support of the Western powers who intend to weaken development of the African countries. Therefore, the African Union, the regional organizations and their affiliated ones should brace themselves once again in order not to consent to arbitrariness of foreign powers but to defend only legal interests of their people.

In conclusion, Africa of Juche will put more spurs to the activities in which sovereignty of all countries is respected, in such a circumstance that the worldwide movement is vigorously waged to recover balance of the international order.
