A photo exhibition, a film show and a reception took place at the DPRK embassy in Hanoi on December 5 to mark the 65th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's official visit to Vietnam.
On display at the venue of the event were photos documenting the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un during their external activities for the development of friendly relations between the DPRK and Vietnam.
Present there were officials of the Commission for External Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Public Security, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Vietnam, the Academy of Social Sciences, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth League, the General Confederation of Labour, the Women's Union, the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association, the Nhan Dan newspaper and other political parties, government ministries, organizations and institutions of Vietnam and the charge d'affaires ad interim and staff members of the DPRK embassy.
The participants looked round the photos on show and watched a video showing the boundless reverence of progressive mankind for the peerlessly great men.
Speeches were made at the reception.
On the same day, flower baskets were sent to the DPRK embassy from the Commission for External Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Vietnam, the Academy of Social Sciences, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth League, the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association, the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Kindergarten, the Vietnam News Agency and others.
Earlier on November 23, an event took place in Hanoi to mark the 65th anniversary of Kim Il Sung's official visit to Vietnam.
