Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Meetings took place at different units in South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK to mark the 60th anniversary of the field guidance of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il .
Reports were made at the meetings attended by officials and agricultural workers of the relevant units.
The reporters noted that the President and the Chairman had always paid deep attention to the farming in South Hwanghae Province and left their sacred leadership traces at Woldang, Suwon and Chongsokdu farms in Sinwon County and Ungchon and Judap farms in Pongchon County in December Juche 52 (1963).
Touring the Woldang Farm in Sinwon County, the great leaders stressed the need to expand the farmland, raise the proportion of the farm work done by machines and develop stockbreeding, fruit culture and sericulture in conformity with the specific feature of the area.
At Suwon and Chongsokdu farms, they indicated the orientation and ways for the farms' development, including the work to realign the patches of paddy, generalize the experience gained in double-cropping and successfully prevent the paddy and non-paddy fields from flooding through proper river management.
They also gave field guidance to Ungchon and Judap farms in Pongchon County, where they set forth the tasks for raising large numbers of grass-eating domestic animals, including cattle, goats and sheep, to produce high-quality manure and effectively pushing ahead with the work to solve the housing problem for farmers.
The reporters referred to the facts that the farms have covered the course of proud development, adding luster to the honor of the units associated with the leadership exploits.
They called upon all the officials and agricultural workers to achieve fresh innovative successes in the van of the struggle for implementing the programme for the rural revolution in the new era, closely rallied around the respected Comrade
